Turning a Maple bowl, 2019.

Owner, Hunter Tolley

My name is Hunter Tolley. I am 27 years old. I am an artist and craftsman in Midlothian, Virginia. I have a small woodshop which i call 13 Oaks Woodshop, named after my grandparent’s farm where the shop began. 13 Oaks Woodshop was established in 2017 from a love of showcasing nature’s beauty and a desire to create one of a kind pieces with my hands. These two ideas have been the premise behind every piece I create.  I think that’s what drew me into Woodturning.  With Woodturning I have the ability to analyze the wood as I sculpt it. This allows the wood to show me what it wants to be.  I see my work as just a showcase for the ultimate artist. I pride myself on creating heirloom pieces that can be passed down for generations.
